Our voices and actions are

stronger together!

Eagles’ Rise International is a non–profit organization committed to the welfare and development of disadvantaged orphaned children and widows in Africa.

Orphans

Different from most orphaned children and widows in developed countries, the ones in Africa often become victims of poverty, exclusion and many other hardships. Children who lost their parents are eventually left to their relatives who may also struggle to fulfill their needs. This may lead to a lack of care and communication, mistreatment or even becoming homeless. Street children are commonly seen in African countries.

Widows

Widowhood is a unique problem in Africa due to a combination of cultural, social and economic factors that create significant challenges for widows. This can lead to mistreatment and discrimination. The consequences are mostly poverty, isolation, mental and physical issues and eventually homelessness.

Our Focus Areas

At Eagles’ Rise International, we work towards sustainable development focusing on equal opportunity for empowerment of these vulnerable and marginalized people. We strive to ensure positive social change in the lives of the deprived groups, moving them toward freedom over poverty, economic sufficiency, and improved quality of life.

We work to provide empowerment and opportunities to bring about a brighter life filled with joy and happiness. We are ultimately inspired by seeing smiles on the faces of the disadvantaged orphans and widows being relieved from their difficulties.

Success Story

Marishet

Raised in a poor family, dropped out school by age 15, struggled to make a living, got pregnant, became homeless, got widowed very early and tested positive for HIV/AIDS.

Marishet had been living a life full of struggles and mistreatment. Still, she fought hard to give her daughter a better life.

Years later her physical and economic situation worsened, and she was ready to give up her life – that is when she received our intervention.
