Eagles’ Rise will use every necessary opportunity to further the development of orphaned children and widows towards an improved and joyful life. Our program aims to instill hope and provide knowledge and tools that would enable target groups to live an empowered and independent life. Our major program areas encompass education, child care and protection, women’s and girls’ empowerment, health care, capacity building, community development, emergency relief, HIV/ AIDS prevention and care and environmental protection.

Education
Education can leverage significant improvements in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children by conferring knowledge and life skills. In addition, schooling can contribute to a child’s social integration and psychosocial development and provide a safe, structured environment in turbulent times. We work to ensure and facilitate the availability of quality educational opportunities to orphaned children in Africa. In this, we engage towards the goal of providing access to primary, secondary and tertiary education. We provide support, assistance and sponsorship to underprivileged and marginalized orphaned children in their education.
We believe that training young people is key to development, economic growth and the way out of poverty. We offer a range of locally adapted vocational training modules and train young people the technical, business and life skills to pursue their own professional goals.
Child Care and Protection
We believe that every child deserves the love of a family. Through our “joy-in the family” programs we’re helping more children unite with their loving forever families. We find families within their communities that are best suited to raise the orphaned children, who are mainly homeless and living on the streets. We work for children living on streets to find true healing. This model of care is truly life-changing, and sadly, is not the norm in many countries throughout the world. Eagle’s Rise International seeks to change the level of care that children receive so every orphan knows just how loved they are!
We also assist parents / guardians and family members to raise family income as a support system. By collaborating with families, faith-based organizations and government we work to protect children from exploitation and trafficking for domestic abuses and labour through education, awareness creation and provision of direct help to individual children.
Women’s and Girls’ Empowerment
We believe that implementing multifaceted interventions such as economic empowerment, resource provision and awareness campaigns is crucial to overcoming barriers and creating a more inclusive and equitable society for widows. We empower widows and poor orphaned girls in the community to help them lift themselves out of economic distress. We provide micro-finance services through a Self-Help Group approach to assist them in creating sustainable income.
Healthcare
We work towards health care provisions for disadvantaged widows and orphaned children for better health outcomes. Through our health program, we engage in the reduction of common childhood illnesses and deaths, as well as HIV/AIDS prevention and care. Preventive health care and provision of health facilities are other core intervention areas that we aim to provide.
Most importantly, we offer special psychosocial support to widows and orphaned youths. Widows in Africa suffer a lot from mental health problems such as depression and anxiety due to cultural, social and economic threats that create a significant burden in their lives after the loss of their spouse. Providing psychosocial support through counselling services, support groups, and other interventions can help to address these challenges.
Capacity Building
Through our capacity building program, we offer skills and vocational training for women. The program is designed to help young girls and women towards economic relief and the eradication of poverty. The training and resources we provide allow them to acquire and develop the necessary skills to earn a sustainable livelihood in the areas like agriculture, gastronomy, art and crafts and solar installation. We also provide a short-term training for basic computer skills and programming.
Community Development
We work to promote community development projects that enhance community wellbeing through long-lasting solutions. We provide rural and deprived communities with basic social facilities including the construction of schools, provision of safe drinking water, and improvement of hygiene and sanitation systems.
