Eagles’ Rise International is motivated by our Christian beliefs.
As Christians, we know God created each person with equal worth. Yet we live in a world where poverty persists. Poverty is an outrage against humanity. It robs people of their dignity and lets injustice thrive. This is true for many orphaned children and widows in African society. However, they are particularly important to and loved by the Almighty God. He also calls us to follow His ways practically.
“Father of orphans and defender of widows is God in His holy habitation.”
“True devotion, the kind that is pure and faultless before God the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their difficulties and to keep the world from contaminating us.”
We seek to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ, who commanded His followers to love their neighbour and work for a better world.
Jesus said: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
We see it as our responsibility and service to God to stand with the most vulnerable and excluded people of the world particularly in Africa – both in times of crisis and for the longer-term development. We are committed to enabling them with our means to flourish and rise like eagles with new strength and confidence. Our voices and actions are stronger together!
